Video Editing Practice Blog Reflection

The process of learning Premiere Pro was a new experience for me and very challenging in the beginning. All of the programs features were very intimidating to me and I originally had many doubts on my ability to do the blog well. However, after watching the tutorial videos and following them word for word I began to understand the program and what I needed to do.

Creating a clip was a very fun and immersive experience for me, I loved cutting the clip to make it smaller and editing the sound of the clips. Each clip had its own significance and putting them all together felt like finishing a puzzle.

A challenge I had while learning how to use the software was the length of my clips, they would either be too long or too short and I struggled with getting them just right. However after many trials I learned how to do it correctly. A success I had was editing the audio, I was very successful right away with muting and adding audio to my clip.

Throughout the process of completing the clip I learned how to editing a clip more effectively and adding text to a clip where I was unsure of how to do that originally.

Next time, I'll use Premiere Pro to edit clips because I find it more professional than using Capcut or the equivalent. Also I've learned there's an easier way to import my clips and will definitely be incorporating that the next time I use this application.

I believe this knowledge will help me with my portfolio project because when I'm required to make a video I will already have the knowledge needed to make my video something special and to make it about me in a professional yet intriguing way that pulls viewers in.
